Wilson Rehabilitation Foundation

Improving the access to and quality of orthopedic care offered by Christian mission programs in developing countries.

Our Mission.

Wilson Rehabilitation Foundation (WRF) is an evangelical Christian organization that exists to improve access to and quality of orthopedic care for people in need in developing countries.

Your donations pay for the care of patients experiencing the greatest need. Donations also help mission hospitals acquire the equipment and orthopedic implants needed to improve treatment options.

Orthopedic Volunteer Opportunities
WRF coordinates the needs of mission hospitals in developing countries with orthopedic surgeons and clinicians who donate their time and expertise to meet those needs. Lengths of stay may vary from one week to several months or longer.
Equipment Assistance
Through our network of mission hospitals in developing countries and generous donors in the U.S., WRF is able to meet the deepest medical needs with enhanced care and advanced equipment.
Current Mission Hospitals
WRF currently partners with Kikuyu Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Centre, PCEA Chogoria Hospital and Maua Methodist Hospital in Kenya, The Good Shepherd Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and CBC Mutengene Baptist Hospital in Cameroon.
Orthopedic Training
WRF sends orthopedic specialists to mission hospitals to provide training in advanced surgical techniques in mission hospitals. We also identify gifted clinicians currently serving in mission hospitals to receive further training in the U.S. through short term training programs. The objective in these programs is for the clinician to return to serve in the mission hospital.

From the Field

Let us not grow weary of doing good.

"I hope that we can continue to blend the need for the physical rehabilitation of patients with the message of healing that is found in faithfully following Jesus Christ. By inclusion of both ministries, we allow for the healing of the person as a whole."

Robert Jewell

“A ten-year-old boy lost his limbs in a train accident. He was poor and had no hope of ever walking again. With help from the WRF, the young boy got the medical attention he needed to walk again.”

Fredrick Gituku

“A father who was the sole provider for his family was hurt in an accident and his bones were never set. Left as an invalid, his family fell into immense poverty. Assistance from WRF helped him get the care needed, his bones mended, and he was able to return to supporting his family.”

Robert Jewell

“On one of my first trips to Kenya, Dr. Kerr operated to remove a melon-sized tumor from a woman’s shoulder. If not for the support of KORC and the lower cost surgery, this woman would surely have died from her tumor.”

“Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.
