Getting settled
We arrived without problem last night. It does take awhile to get through immigration. Today, we got organized and set up a couple of meetings while we are here. Tomorrow we will visit the disabled children’s center in Kajiado in Masai land. We are working with them to get all the children enrolled in the national health insurance fund. It is a more cost effective way for the children to receive their orthopedic care and allow them to have all their medical care. We will be checking the progress of that program. We maintain a fund at Kikuyu Orthopedic Rehabilitation Centre to pay for care if the child is not enrolled.
The travel is long, however, all the flights were on newer planes. The seats are more comfortable than the old 747’s, that gave me a very sore bottom. Also, we saw a great view of the full moon coming up and then the sun setting over Africa, from the plane. The pictures are included.
Blessings,
Doug
